AuthAnvil RADIUS Service is unable to start after initial configuration

Issue

After configuring the AuthAnvil RADIUS server, the event log notes that the service failed to start.

 

Cause

The server has been configured to listen to a port that is already being used by an existing service like NAP or IAS.

 

Resolution

Run the configuration again and set it to a different port. You will also have to change the the network appliance or service (RRAS) to utilize this port as well and ensure that a inbound rule has been added to the firewall for the port.
