How to activate an AuthAnvil subscription - Legacy

During the AuthAnvil configuration you will be asked for the subscription information. If you don't know what this is, then you probably haven't activated your subscription yet. This article will take you through this process.

  1. Log into the Customer Portal at https://customer.scorpionsoft.com/
  2. Roll the over the Account link and in the menu that appears click Manage Subscription
  3. On the left-hand side click Manage Your Subscription Settings.
  4. You have two options regarding your subscription account. You can add a credit card and be billed monthly for the active, assigned tokens on your account or you can select the I will arrange credit terms with Scorpion Software option. Either option will utilize any available credit immediately. Adding a credit card will require a $1 charge that verifies the card, however this is added to the available credit.
  5. Create a password and confirm it, this password is used during the AuthAnvil Configuration on the subscription settings dialog.
  6. Click Update Information and your subscription should now be activated, showing a green check on the left side.


For AuthAnvil 3.5 and earlier
:

  1. Launch the AuthAnvil Configuration Wizard on your server.
  2. On the Licensing Manager Subscription Details dialog enter the email account used to log into the Customer Portal, the password you set and the friendly name. (The friendly name would normally be either your company name or the client's company name if installing on a client's server.)
  3. Complete the configuration wizard and it will attempt to connect to the Customer Portal to verify your subscription.


For AuthAnvil 4.0 and later:

  1. The subscription password is required to complete an AuthAnvil v4 installation.  You will be prompted for your Email Address (the account used to log into the Customer Portal) and Password (subscription password configured in Step 5).
  2. Click the Verify button to confirm your subscription information and complete the installation.
